Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still use Acme Run Company if I don't use Strava?

Currently, Acme Run Company seamlessly integrates with Strava to leverage its extensive device support and simplify your data analysis, providing you with the most effective personalized workouts. While a Strava account is essential for now, we are always exploring future possibilities for broader platform compatibility.

Do I need a subscription to Strava?

No, you do not need a paid Strava subscription to enjoy the personalized workouts from Acme Run Company. However, an active Strava account with your recent run data is required for our system to create your tailored experiences.

Can I edit my own landmarks or key points?

While Acme Run Company currently optimizes your workouts by automatically identifying key points along your routes, such as corners and significant hills, we understand the desire for even greater customization. We are developing a feature that will empower you to create your own personalized key points along your favorite routes. Soon, you’ll be able to set markers exactly where you want them, allowing for truly unique workout cues like “running to where you saw that pelican!”

Can I use ARC for indoor runs?

At Acme Run Company, our personalized workouts are uniquely designed to leverage the dynamic nature of your outdoor routes, utilizing real-world landmarks and precise GPS data to craft your training. Because of this, we are currently unable to accurately measure and adapt your performance from treadmill runs. If the majority of your training occurs indoors, you might find that ARC’s full, personalized benefits are not realized, as our system is optimized to unlock your potential on the open road and trails.

Does Acme Run Company include walking or hiking?

We are primarily focused on optimized running at the moment, but we are looking into how our terrain-aware math can benefit walkers and hikers in the future.

What activities do you analyze?

We analyze a comprehensive range of your activities to build a complete picture of your performance. Currently, we analyze your logged walks, runs, trail runs, and hikes.

Do you support exporting workouts to my wearable?

While direct workout export to wearables is not yet available, we understand how important this feature is to our runners! We are actively working to implement direct export. Our first integration will be designed for compatible Garmin watches, with more options planned for the future.

Do you offer free trials?

Yes, we are pleased to offer free trials for both our monthly and annual subscriptions! Monthly subscriptions include a 14-day trial period, while annual subscriptions are granted a full 30 days, giving you ample time to experience the benefits of Acme Run Company.

I just created a Strava account, what's next?

To ensure Acme Run Company can provide you with the most accurate and personalized workouts right from the start, we recommend building up your running data on Strava over the next few weeks. When you subscribe, we’ll import and analyze your most recent 30 running activities. This allows us to develop a comprehensive understanding of your current performance and tailor your workouts precisely to you.

To ensure optimal personalization, please make sure your Strava account meets these minimum requirements:

  • Your most recent run was logged within the last 21 days.
  • You have at least 5 running activities recorded.
  • At least one of your recorded runs is longer than 10 minutes.

I'm training for a race, is Acme Run Company right for me?

Absolutely! While Acme Run Company doesn’t specifically build training plans for particular race events, our core focus is on maximizing your performance improvement with every run. You can brilliantly augment your existing race training plan by incorporating ARC’s personalized workouts. For instance, if your plan calls for a 5-mile tempo run, you can select a tempo workout on one of your favorite 5-mile routes, allowing ARC to guide you through the session with precision and adaptability.
